I am currently . . . . . . at home in Bergen, looking forward to the start of a new job as a Project Manager at Technocean on Monday 2nd August. My lady-of-leisure lifestyle is coming to an end!

Other News:
A new addition to the family has arrived. On May 18th 2010 Anika made her first motorised two-wheeled purchase; a Piaggio Vespa ET4. Congratulations and welcome . . . . . . . Betsy!
You’d have to be completely off your proverbial rocker to entertain the idea of purchasing a bicycle here in Norway - or anything for that matter - so it won’t come as much of a surprise to hear that since arriving in this fine country all my cycle acquisitions have been made overseas. In 2007 I purchased what could possibly be the best all round mountain bike (MTB) I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning: the Santa Cruz Nomad. My Bionicon B1 before it was a great entry into all mountain riding, not least because of its innovative on-the-fly suspension adjustment design and general all-round German engineering quality. However, when I broke it’s frame I knew I had to move on. A great deal of investigative sleuthing thus occurred, finally sending me down the Santa Cruz road to the Nomad. The only bike available that suited was for sale in San Francisco so thank goodness for friends in distant places.
Another legend: the Santa Cruz Nomad

To be an MTB rider in Europe’s wettest city you need to be a very patient person. Most of the trails require at least 3 days to dry out properly but when they are ready what you’ll find is in a class of its own. When time allows pictures, stories and hopefully some events will find themselves onto this site.
